Traditional hours at the Dobson location are: Mon- Thurs. 7:30AM to 5:30PM any dogs checking in or out, outside of these times during regular work days will incur a drop off/pickup fee of $10 dollars. This will also be added for weekends and holidays, and when the staff is not in the office, and those days we have a check in/out designated time of 8:30-9 or 5:30-6.
On occasion, staff may be able to check out your dog outside of these hours for an additional $20 convenience fee.
Check in and check out times for weekends are 8:30-9AM and 5:30-6PM unless other arrangements have been made.
Rates: Please note that Happy Tails is primarily a grooming salon, that offers a quiet, comfy boarding place for your pet. We are not set up as a high volume boarding facility, we groom dogs, and offer the boarding as a convenience to our clients. Our rates might be a bit higher than multi dog facilities, but it is structured in a much quieter, climate-controlled environment that dogs seem to prefer.
Daycare is available with notice, during the week during business hours at the rate of $25/day small, $30/day large. Also applies to dogs being picked up after a boarding stay, before noon on the pickup day.
Some dogs may incur a $5 clean up fee, while being trained to use pads or go outside, some dogs that are not used to walking on a leash (have free roam/go when they want to outside are sometimes like this).
- Small Suites available for small dogs at $35/night, medium dogs at $45/night. Two small dogs can stay in a suite together for $60/night. We do offer discounts for extended stays, multi dog families, prepayment in full.
-Large “Pawston Inns” are the larger suites, suitable for dogs that need more area, or larger dogs. One well-mannered large dog is $50/night. Discounts are available for multi-dog "family" boarding. Intact male dogs will have a $5 clean up fee added in.
We understand that dogs are used to certain areas, and people, and that some may express aggression and/or frustration (tearing up bedding, towels, walls) and we clean up after them, within reason. If your dog creates constant messes that require cleaning above and beyond typical clean up, there may be a $5/day clean up charge assessed to the stay per day. Puppies, dogs under one year, that are not properly crate or potty trained will typically incur the same clean up charge. If your dog is used to being crated, and you would prefer to bring your crate, we can put it into the suite room for the dog’s comfort.
I understand the rates and the charges for services provided by Happy Tails Grooming and understand there may be additional charges incurred for holiday pickup, drop off, after hours, and clean up/destruction fees.
Before your pet/s can board or participate in our daycare program we MUST have the following on file:
Proof of CURRENT vaccine record from your Veterinarian
You may have your Veterinarian email this information to us at [email protected] prior to your reservation or you may bring a copy with you, but we MUST have a copy.
Dogs must have received vaccines at least 7 days prior to coming to our facility,
DHLPP (optional, may opt out)
Rabies (can be admin. same day-(state required)
Bordetella / Kennel Cough (optional, may opt out)
Cats must have received vaccines at least 3 days day prior to coming to our facility
FVRCP/ FELV Rabies
*Your pet must be on monthly flea prevention or wearing a flea collar. All animals will be checked prior to entering the facility; if fleas are present, your pet will be given a bath to kill any fleas that are present at the owner’s expense.
What you should bring
YOUR PETS NORMAL FOOD, best way is to pre-measure into serving sizes and put into ziplock bags or containers. You can bring a feed tote or bag, but you will need to provide a scoop with designated amount fed and when unless they are free choice feed. If we have to provide food, you will be billed for it.
YOUR PETS COLLAR & LEASH, your pet will need its collar/leash for outdoor walks. If your pet is accustomed to puppy pads you will need to supply those, and make us aware of this when making your reservation. *If your dog is not accustomed to going potty on a leash(ie. Let out in the backyard to go they do not understand sometimes that they need to go while on the walk. They may incur a clean up fee) we will typically use our slip leads vs a collar or harness.
BEDDING, you may bring a clean small blanket, bed or pillow for your pet. Your pet will feel more at home if it has something familiar. You can also bring a t-shirt, blanket or sheet that has your scent on it to make them feel better. We have plenty of clean soft beds here if you would rather use ours. Large beds or beds that cannot be washed might get tinkled on by your pet - so we prefer smaller items that we can easily wash.
MEDICATIONS, we will only administer medication orally. If your pet requires medications such as insulin, we recommend that your pet board with your veterinarian, so they have professional medical care available. All other medications must be in original current prescription bottles, labeled for your
pet. This will incur a $2.50 medication administration fee per administration, on top of your boarding charges. You will also need to provide what you feed with the meds, ie. Pill pockets, hot dogs, cheese, xylitol free peanut butter, etc. If you do not provide anything we will bill you for what we have to use.
